Fast Finger

Counting Burgers on the Grill
Fast Finger is a counting game set around a barbecue. A chef watches the grill while hamburgers appear in front of the player. The main task is to count how many hamburgers lie on the barbecue and give the correct number. The game focuses on one clear math skill rather than adding a long story or complicated rules.
Each round asks the player to look closely at the food on the grill. Counting too fast can cause an easy mistake. Burgers may sit near one another, so it helps to follow them from left to right.
Counting Without Missing Anything
A useful method starts at one side of the barbecue. Count each hamburger once while moving toward the other side. Starting again from the same place helps the player check the total. It also prevents one burger from being counted twice.
Players can point at each hamburger with the cursor while counting aloud. This connects the spoken number with the object on the screen. After reaching the final burger, the last number spoken gives the total.
Practising Early Number Skills
Fast Finger helps children connect a group of objects with the number that describes it. This gives more useful practice than only repeating numbers in order. The player must inspect a group, count each item, and decide on the total.
The burgers have a familiar shape, which makes them easy to recognise. The chef and barbecue create a small scene without distracting from the counting task.
Speed Comes After Accuracy
The name Fast Finger suggests quick answers, but correct counting matters more than rushing. A good method is to count once, pause, and check the grill again. When both totals match, the player can give the answer.
Fast Finger works well for short number practice. Younger children can focus on one group at a time. More confident players can try to count faster without losing accuracy. The rules remain direct throughout the game. Look at the hamburgers, count them, and give the total.
