Mathix – Discover the Missing Number
Mathix is an educational puzzle game that challenges players to find the missing number in a series of mathematical sequences. Each puzzle presents a row of numbers that follows a hidden rule. The player must study the numbers carefully, discover how the pattern works, and enter the correct number to complete the sequence. The game contains five levels, with three number sequences in each level. Players must solve at least two correctly to unlock the next stage.
The early puzzles help players understand the basic idea of number patterns. A sequence might increase by the same amount each time, such as 2, 4, 6, 8. Other questions may use subtraction, multiplication, division, alternating rules, or differences that gradually change. As players advance, the patterns become less obvious and require more careful thinking.
Mathix is not only about calculating quickly. Players must examine how each number connects to the one before it. Trying several possible rules can help reveal the correct answer. A player may first check whether the numbers are being added or subtracted. If that does not work, they can look for multiplication, division, square numbers, or a pattern that changes between two different operations.
The first level acts as a helpful introduction, allowing new players to become familiar with the controls and the types of questions they will encounter. Answers can be submitted using the Enter key. The Enter or Spacebar key may also be used to continue, while the R key can restart a level when another attempt is needed.
The gradual increase in difficulty makes Mathix suitable for students who want to strengthen their understanding of number sequences, logical reasoning, and mathematical relationships. Every completed pattern provides a satisfying moment when the hidden rule finally becomes clear.
With simple controls, progressive levels, and challenging number puzzles, Mathix turns sequence practice into an enjoyable brain-training activity. Players can improve by looking carefully, testing different ideas, learning from mistakes, and recognising patterns more quickly with each new level.
